Press Release: "Visit of KSM RED to the Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) of the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY)"

Friday, May 16, 2025 – The Research of Economic Development (RED), a student organization under the Development Economics Department of Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Yogyakarta, held an institutional visit to the Regional Office of the Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) in Yogyakarta, carrying the theme “Empowering Economic Insight through the Tax Discourse with DJP DIY.” This event aimed to broaden students' knowledge and understanding of taxation, serving as a valuable foundation for the younger generation to become more aware of and compliant with tax obligations.

A total of 50 students, accompanied by faculty representatives from the Development Economics Department — Mr. Dedy Sunaryo Nainggolan, S.E., M.E., and Mr. Ryan Setya Budi, M.Ec.Dev — were warmly welcomed by the Head of the Regional Office of the Directorate General of Taxes in Yogyakarta, Mrs. Erna Sulistyowati. The Regional Head personally greeted the participants and shared insights related to taxation. The presence of competent speakers in the field of taxation provided a solid basis for understanding the strategic role of taxes in national development. It is hoped that this activity will bring wide-reaching and sustainable benefits.
