Management Student of FEB UPNVY Wins 2nd Place in the KOMIKA National Business Plan Competition, UNS

SURAKARTA, June 2026 – Students of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) at Universitas Pembangunan Nasional "Veteran" Yogyakarta (UPNVY) have once again achieved a proud milestone at the national level. The student team from FEB UPNVY successfully secured the 2nd Place title in the KOMIKA National Business Plan Competition organized by the Agribusiness Student Association of the Faculty of Agriculture (KAMAGRISTA) at Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) on June 20, 2026.

This high-achieving team consists of three students across different study programs: Aqilla Zulfani Patriasi and Syifa Nursholikhah from the 2024 Management Study Program, along with Widya Anindya Zahira from the 2024 Accounting Study Program. All three are members of the Bank Indonesia Corner (BI Corner) UPNVY, under the guidance of advisors Dr. E. Diah Lufti Wijayanti, S.E., M.Si. and Dedy Sunaryo Nainggolan, S.E., M.E.

In the business plan competition, the team presented an innovative work titled "KERTALA: Paper Waste-Based Souvenir Innovation and Educational QR Code to Revive Cultural Heritage." KERTALA (Kertas Bercerita Lintas Budaya / Cross-Cultural Storytelling Paper) is an eco-cultural brand that processes household paper waste into creative, value-added keychains. The product's main uniqueness lies in its integration of interactive technology, where each keychain is equipped with a specific QR code. By scanning the code, users are directly connected to historical narratives, local cultural philosophy, and the transparent recycling process used in crafting the product.

This combination of environmental awareness, cultural heritage preservation, and the use of interactive digital technology captivated the panel of judges, ultimately leading the FEB UPNVY team to take home the 2nd Place trophy in this prestigious competition.
